In acciaio per utensili ad alta resistenza (>1300 N/mm2). In combinazione con il serraggio inserti convesso si ottiene la massima resistenza contro forze di taglio assiali e radiali, aumentando di conseguenza notevolmente la qualità delle superfici e la produttività.

A partire da una larghezza gola di 6 mm con tmax. (5×larghezza gola), il tagliente posteriore viene a contatto con il pezzo. Ciò può causare rigature di lavorazione. Nessun pericolo di rigature di lavorazione fino a t = 24,5 mm.
