Description

Version:

  • ZBS

Description:

Tungsten carbide burrs with the PLAST cut are suitable for trimming and contour milling on a wide range of fibre-reinforced plastics (GRP/CRP). They are particularly suitable for use on less hard glass and carbon-fibre-reinforced duroplastics (GRP and CRP ≤ 40 % fibre content) and fibre-reinforced thermoplastics. The PLAST cut (similar to PCD milling) minimizes delamination and fraying. Cylindrical burr with centre drill. Burrs with a centre drill (ZBS) allow combined drilling and milling work.

Feature:

  • Dia. point: 2.5 mm
  • RPM from, thermoplastics, fibre-reinforced plastics (GRP/CRP) with a fibre content under 40 %: 24000 RPM
  • RPM to, thermoplastics, fibre-reinforced plastics (GRP/CRP) with a fibre content under 40 %: 48000 RPM
  • Version: ZBS
  • Cut: PLAST
  • Dia. external, metric: 6 mm
  • Dia. shank, metric: 6 mm
  • Length, cut: 25 mm
  • Length, total: 65 mm

Advantage:

  • Particularly suitable for GRP and CRP ≤ 40 % fibre content.
  • Minimized delamination and fraying due to the special cut that is similar to PCD mills.
  • Particularly suitable for use on machines and on robots.
  • Very low cutting force.
  • High feed rates.

Application:

  • Recommendations for use: Select a burr diameter greater than the thickness of the material to be machined, to avoid impacts and chattering with the risk of damaging or breaking the tool. Increase the rotational speed if the tool tends to chatter. If necessary, reduce the rotational speed and contact pressure if melting occurs. To prevent vibrations, place the tools on powerful drives with an elastically supported spindle wherever possible. Observe the recommended rotational speeds. Burrs with a centre drill (ZBS) are particularly ideal for manual application. They allow secure drilling on almost all surface conditions.
  • Applications: Cutting out holes; Deburring; Drilling; Leveling; Milling; Milling out; Surface work; Trimming
  • Drive types: Flexible shaft drive; Tool machine; Robot; Stationary machines; Straight grinder
