Description:
The TOUGH cut has been developed especially for tough applications in dockyards, foundries and steel construction. It is also ideal for use in all manufacturing sectors where, due to the difficult production environment, tooth breakages or other damage to conventional burrs is a frequent occurrence. Tungsten carbide burrs with the TOUGH cut are particularly aggressive and are characterized by high stock removal. Oval burr according to DIN 8032.
Feature:
- Radius corner design: 4 mm
- RPM from, grey cast iron, white cast iron: 8000 RPM
- RPM from, hardened, heat-treated steels over 1,200 N/mm²: 8000 RPM
- RPM from, steels up to 1,200 N/mm²: 8000 RPM
- RPM to, grey cast iron, white cast iron: 20000 RPM
- RPM to, hardened, heat-treated steels over 1,200 N/mm²: 11000 RPM
- RPM to, steels up to 1,200 N/mm²: 19000 RPM
- Cut: TOUGH
- Dia. external, metric: 10 mm
- Dia. shank, metric: 6 mm
- Length, cut: 16 mm
- Length, total: 56 mm
Advantage:
- The highly accurate concentricity enables impactfree working without creating chatter marks. This considerably reduces wear on the tool and tool drive.
- The innovative quick-mounting system ensures convenient handling and cool grinding.
- Minimized tooth chipping/breakage, splintering and burr failures due to very robust, high-performance cuts.
- Can also be used in low rotational speed ranges.
- Due to their extreme impact resistance, they are ideal for use as long-shank variants.
Application:
- Recommendations for use: Observe the recommended rotational speeds. The TOUGH cut can be used on materials up to 54 HRC. For harder materials, it is recommended to perform trials beforehand. Tungsten carbide burrs with the TOUGH cut are also suitable for applications involving impact when using shank extensions, for applications with a high surface contact angle, for milling narrow contours, or for applications where high rotational speeds are not available. To ensure costeffective use of burrs, use a higher rotational speed and cutting speed. Use burrs with a shank diameter of 6 mm with drives with a power output from 300 watts.
- Applications: Cutting out holes; Deburring; Leveling; Milling; Milling out; Surface work; Work on weld seams
- Drive types: Flexible shaft drive; Straight grinder
