Description:
For coarse cleaning work, e.g. removing paint, scale, heat discolouration, rust and adhesive residues in peripheral grinding. POLICLEAN is a coarsely structured, abrasive, non-woven cleaning fabric that was developed from a special combination of synthetic fibres and abrasive grain.
Feature:
- RPM, max.: 10000 RPM
- RPM, optimum, from: 4000 RPM
- RPM, optimum, to: 5100 RPM
- Version: PCLS
- Width, metric: 13 mm
- Dia. hole: 6 mm
- Abrasive: Silicon carbide SiC/C
- Dia. external, metric: 75 mm
Advantage:
- The standard version (black) generates finer surfaces and is more flexible.
- High flexibility and open structure mean optimal adjustment to contours and no clogging of the tool itself.
Application:
- Recommendations for use: For the best results, use at a recommended cutting speed of 15-20 m/s. This provides an ideal compromise between stock removal rate, surface quality, thermal load on the workpiece and tool wear. For work on larger surfaces, pack several POLICLEAN discs with the appropriate arbor.
- Applications: Cleaning; Roughening; Surface work
- Drive types: Flexible shaft drive; Straight grinder
Material:
- Materials that can be worked:
- Aluminium
- Annealed cast iron
- Brass
- Bronze
- Cast steel
- Cobalt-based alloys
- Copper
- Elastomers
- Fibre-reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP, CRP)
- Grey/nodular cast iron (GG/GJL, GGG/GJS)
- Hardened, heat-treated steels over 1.200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC)
- Nickel-based alloys (e.g. Inconell and Hastelloy)
- Stainless steel (INOX)
- Steel materials with a hardness > 54 HRC
- Steels up to 1,200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC)
