The abrasive properties of non-woven tools are adapted to different applications and provide an excellent solution for many applications in metal working and finishing. They are also suitable for working on other hard-to-grind materials, such as ceramic, glass and plastic. Non-woven abrasives consist of polyamide fibres, synthetic resins and abrasive grain. The very loose connections between the individual fibres ensures a high level of flexibility and gives a strong spring-type effect to the non-woven material. It is flexible and supple, and leaves behind a very distinctive surface structure. The satin-finished grinding result is unique and cannot be achieved with other abrasives.
