Description:
Due to their hardness and flexibility, felt points are used when the exact form of geometric shapes has to be maintained. The cylindrical shape with radius end WRC is mainly used for work on small, concave contours.
Feature:
- RPM, max.: 31500 RPM
- RPM, optimum, from: 6000 RPM
- RPM, optimum, to: 12000 RPM
- Shape: Cylindrical with radius end
- Version: M (medium)
- Width, metric: 20 mm
- Dia. external, metric: 15 mm
- Dia. shank, metric: 6 mm
- Length, shank: 42 mm
Advantage:
- Can be profiled as desired, meaning they can also be used for tools with complex geometries.
- Precise retention of geometric shapes due to the hardness of these tools.
Application:
- Recommendations for use: For the best results, use at a recommended cutting speed of 5-10 m/s. This provides an ideal compromise between stock removal rate, surface quality, thermal load on the workpiece and tool wear. Use diamond polishing pastes and polishing paste bars. When applying a different polishing paste, use a new unused polishing tool.
- Applications: Polishing
- Drive types: Flexible shaft drive; Straight grinder
Material:
- Materials that can be worked:
- Aluminium
- Brass
- Bronze
- Cast steel
- Cobalt-based alloys
- Copper
- Fibre-reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP, CRP)
- Hardened, heat-treated steels over 1.200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC)
- Nickel-based alloys (e.g. Inconell and Hastelloy)
- Stainless steel (INOX)
- Steel materials with a hardness > 54 HRC
- Steels up to 1,200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC)
- Thermoplastics
- Titanium
- Titanium alloys
