Description

Description:

Excellent for medium-duty brushing such as deburring, cleaning and derusting. Brushes with silicon carbide (SiC) are particularly well suited to deburring work and surface improvement. Plastic filament withstands temperatures up to 220 °C.

Feature:

  • Packaging: Industrial packaging
  • RPM, max.: 15000 RPM
  • RPM, optimum, from: 6000 RPM
  • RPM, optimum, to: 9800 RPM
  • Width, metric: 10 mm
  • Mounting system: Shank
  • Dia. filament material: 0.55 mm
  • Dia. external, metric: 70 mm
  • Dia. shank, metric: 6 mm
  • Filament material: Silicon carbide (SiC)
  • Grit size: 120
  • Length, filament: 15 mm
  • Length, total: 58 mm

Advantage:

  • Highly flexible, enabling optimal adjustment to the workpiece contour.
  • Optimal access to hard-to-reach areas such as inner edges, grooves and keyways.
  • Abrasive grains are embedded in flexible plastic filaments, which means that the filament works on the sides as well as at the tip.

Application:

  • Recommendations for use: Please observe the recommended rotational speeds. Use coolant for applications where large amounts of heat are produced. For the best results, use a tool drive with a minimum output of 300 watts.
  • Applications: Cleaning; Deburring; Roughening; Structuring (matt finishing, brush matting and satin finishing)
  • Drive types: Flexible shaft drive; Power drill; Straight grinder

Material:

  • Materials that can be worked:
    • Aluminium
    • Bronze
    • Cast iron
    • Cast steel
    • Cobalt-based alloys
    • Thermosetting plastics
    • Other non-ferrous metals
    • Stainless steel (INOX)
    • Steel, cast steel
    • Steel materials with a hardness > 54 HRC
    • Steels up to 1,200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC)
    • Thermoplastics
    • Wood

Note:

  • When clamping the brush, ensure that the shank is clamped as far into the arbor as possible. This applies in particular for use in the high rotational speed range. The minimum clamping length is 10 mm.
