Description:
Suitable for light brushing such as deburring, cleaning and polishing. PFERD offers a wide range of miniature brushes for precision work. These can be used on flexible shaft drives, micro motors or electric grinders. Brushes with aluminium oxide (AO) are less sharp-edged and aggressive compared with SiC. They are primarily suitable for polishing and smoothing finishes on soft metals. Plastic filament withstands temperatures up to 220 °C.
Feature:
- RPM, max.: 12000 RPM
- RPM, optimum, from: 1200 RPM
- RPM, optimum, to: 5000 RPM
- Width, metric: 2 mm
- Mounting system: Shank
- Dia. filament material: 0.3 mm
- Dia. external, metric: 22 mm
- Dia. shank, metric: 3 mm
- Filament material: Aluminium oxide (AO)

- Length, total: 46 mm
Advantage:
- Maximum precision and efficiency in work on delicate workpieces.
- Enables focused working in hard-to-reach areas.
- Abrasive grains are embedded in flexible plastic filaments, which means that the filament works on the sides as well as at the tip.
Application:
- Recommendations for use: Please observe the recommended rotational speeds. Use coolant for applications where large amounts of heat are produced.
- Applications: Cleaning; Deburring
- Drive types: Flexible shaft drive; Straight grinder
Material:
- Materials that can be worked:
- Aluminium
- Bronze
- Cast iron
- Cast steel
- Cobalt-based alloys
- Other non-ferrous metals
- Steel, cast steel
- Steel materials with a hardness > 54 HRC
- Steels up to 1,200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC)
- Materials that can be worked: Aluminium; Bronze; Cast iron; Cast steel; Cobalt-based alloys; Other non-ferrous metals; Steel, cast steel; Steel materials with a hardness > 54 HRC; Steels up to 1,200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC)
Note:
- When clamping the brush, ensure that the shank is clamped as far into the arbor as possible. This applies in particular for use in the high rotational speed range. The minimum clamping length is 10 mm.
