Description:
Particularly flexible brush. Particularly suitable for deburring and work on surfaces on stationary machines. Composite brushes from PFERD have been specifically developed for industrial, automated use. They are suitable for a variety of applications and their variable clamping options mean that they can be used on many different drive systems. This offers the advantage that the workpiece can be produced and finished on the same machine. As a result, labour-intensive, manual work is reduced and reproducible results are achieved with short cycle times. For efficient use, numerous application parameters such as the processing time and feed rate must be coordinated with each other and a suitable brush must be selected. Brushes with silicon carbide (SiC) are particularly well suited to deburring work and surface improvement. Plastic filament withstands temperatures up to 220 °C.
Feature:
- RPM, max.: 4500 RPM
- RPM, optimum, from: 2400 RPM
- RPM, optimum, to: 3900 RPM
- Mounting system: Centre hole
- Dia. hole: 22.2 mm
- Dia. filament material: 1.1 mm
- Dia. external, metric: 75 mm
- Filament material: Silicon carbide (SiC)
- Grit size: 120
- Length, filament: 38 mm
Advantage:
- Long tool life and aggressive brushing effect due to a very high filament density.
- Extremely smooth operation due to even distribution of the filament material.
- Special arrangement of the filament enables optimal adjustment to the workpiece contour, less heat build-up and more efficient use of the coolant.
- Abrasive grains are embedded in flexible plastic filaments, which means that the filament works on the sides as well as at the tip.
Application:
- Recommendations for use: Please observe the recommended rotational speeds. Use coolant for applications where large amounts of heat are produced.
- Applications: Cleaning; Deburring; Roughening; Structuring (matt finishing, brush matting and satin finishing)
