Set up digital infrastructure
Create Storage Locations in Connected Manufacturing
Define what storage locations are present in your facility and map them digitally within the Connected Manufacturing system. Storage types like cabinets, shelves, trolleys and more can be created here.
- Go to Settings.
- Click on Storage Locations (under Infrastructure)
- Click the button Create New
- The Create Storage Locations window will open now
- Enter the Storage Name and choose a Storage Type
- Under Number of Elements you can specify how many shelf boards or drawers your Storage Type has
- By hitting Create you have successfully created your first Storage Location
Create Machines in Connected Manufacturing
Define the machines you are using in your facility. Both, machines that are linked to Connected Manufacturing, as well as un-linked machines can be defined here. If the machine has a link to Connected Manufacturing, only a trained Service Technician of the Hoffmann Group is permitted to handle the technical configuration.
- Go to Settings.
- Click on Machines (under Infrastructure)
- Click the button Create New
- The Create Machine window will open now
- Enter the NAME OF MACHINE and choose a Control: Depending on the Control Type selected you may need to enter additional information on version and manufacturer.
- Under Tool Magazine you can specify whether the machine uses a tool magazine or not. If a magazine is available, you can specify the number of elements it can hold.
- By hitting Create you have successfully created your first Machine.
Create Presetting devices in Connected Manufacturing
Define the presetting device you are using in your facility. Both, Setting Benches that are linked to Connected Manufacturing, as well as un-linked presetting device can be defined here. If the Setting Bench has a link to Connected Manufacturing, only a trained Service Technician of the Hoffmann Group is permitted to handle the technical configuration.
- Go to Settings.
- Click on Presetting Device (under Infrastructure)
- Click the button Create New
- The Create presetting device window will open now
- Enter the Name of presetting device and choose a Manufacturer and Model.
- By hitting Create you have successfully created your first Setting Bench.
